1960 Jaguar XK150 3.8 DHC

The XK 150 was the glorious final development of the ground breaking XK120 and 140. The new, wider body gave increased interior space and visibility was improved by a single piece curved windscreen. Not only was the power ultimately increased to 3. 8 litres it was also equipped with disc brakes to match the impressive speed.

This fine example, fitted from new with the 3. 8 litre engine and the desirable overdrive gearbox was originally supplied to New York in early 1960. A matching numbers car that was previously in the collection of the renowned aesthete, Alain Dominique Perrin. M. Perrin was instrumental in the renaissance and international development of Cartier and many other luxury luxury brands during his tenure at the Richemont group. In good condition throughout, the engine and gearbox were overhauled and the overdrive replaced and the car was repainted in its current shade of blue over grey leather interior in 2007/ 8. Not only is it fitted with overdrive but also a modern addition of power assisted steering. With plenty of luggage space and a well fitting hood for less clement days this comfortable and long legged grand tourer is a wonderful way to travel.
